The Message
Most Americans are rich by world standards. And when God's word talks about the rich man, you better believe he is talking about you and I-the average Joe.

"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:24

It's funny how You Tube has this listed with explicit lyrics. I promise you, there is not one curse word. 
 Maybe someone thought he said SH$% when he says "ship".

Andy does make a cynical statement about liquor, weed & wi-fi. But he is not glorying it-I'm sure of that. This is a warning and a wake up call. Anyone can see that.

If you are having a difficult time being grateful and giving thanks, just think about everything we have that is beyond the basics; food, clothes and a roof over our heads. Everything else is a bonus. 
Don't get too comfortable with the luxuries of this life  because it will cost you in the next.
We are not given what we have just for ourselves. Reach out to someone in need today and show them how good God is.

What's So Good About Good Friday?

The Message

John 19:30 
"When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."

Did Jesus really need to die? Yes because God says that the wages for sin is death (Romans 6:23). If you believe that, then you can truly appreciate why He died for you and I.  I belong up there. That is my death that Jesus took on that cross. He has paid my debts for my past and my future sins. His final words on the cross were "it is finished" or "paid in full" (John 19:30) - it was an accounting term . The huge debt that I could not afford has now been paid. That is why this Friday is a good one. But wait, there's more...Since I didn't earn this gift that means I cannot lose it!


My Prayer 
I pray that you can experience this freedom this Easter. Consider accepting this gift for yourself so you can draw closer to God. After all, that was the whole point of the cross. He wants to you know you better and has made a way for that to be possible. He is knocking and all you have to do is answer.

God allowed your circumstance or the challenges in your life for a purpose. Whatever you are going through, God will use it to build you up and help you grow in some way. It may be a bad season at work or at home. He's got your back.
